Quiet short films along the Clyde

Unscripted dispatches from slipways, quiet harbors, and workshops where daily work moves with the tide.

Featured Work

Current film projects

Tides of the Esplanade

An eight-minute study of morning walkers, gulls, and shifting light along the Gourock sea wall.

Voices by the Quay

Oral histories and traditional maritime songs gathered across three autumn evenings in Greenock.

Morning on the Slipway

A twelve-minute portrait of boatbuilders at the historic James Watt Dock, recording the unhurried rhythm of timber repairs and quiet conversations.

Methodology

Acoustics and oral history

Every project begins with extended listening before the camera is unboxed. We record natural harbor acoustics, low tide echoes against sea walls, and unhurried conversations in local gathering spots.

Archival audio is woven directly into the visual edit, honoring local cadence and the authentic atmosphere of Inverclyde without artificial narration or commercial gloss.
